Delayed design-mok van porselein met een foto van het typisch Nederlandse landschap, gefotografeerd vanuit een rijdende auto of trein. Door de snelheid van de auto ontstaan ietwat vervaagde, dromerige beelden. Ontwerper Esther Derkx maakt de foto’s met gevoel voor kleur en composities. Elke mok is uniek.

Delayed porcelain design mug with a snap-shot of the typical Dutch landscape, photographed from out of a driving car or train. The speed of the car makes that the image somewhat fades away. The name ‘Delayed’ refers to the dreamy feeling you get while looking at the landscape that slowly passes by while driving…
While shooting the photo’s I have a focus on colour and composition. This way series such as industry, nature, windshields or crash barriers are created. Blue skies are a recurring element in my snapshots. This ensures that the mugs, however different, fit together. Every year I take a new series of snapshots, therefore you always have a unique mug.
Whether you want to use my Delayed mugs for coffee or tea is personal. Caffe-latte doesn’t fit, but maybe you like black coffee? And would you prefer a mug with an ear? Please let me know using my contact page, I can often tailor a mug for you.
The Delayed design is fired at 820 degrees in the ceramic oven for a permanent suturing. Your mug can, therefore, be washed in the dishwasher.
