Vase by order of "de Bijenkorf" june 2003 An order from “de Bijenkorf” to make a special design for a vase and photograph it in an environment to finally use the photo for a special edition from the warehouse’ magazine: de “Bij-magazine”. 3 Designers were asked to give their own interpretation in relation to the vase that was specially designed by Edward van Vliet. The theme that was made up for this particular magazine was “Black Magic”. The dessin had to refer to this theme. I have given the vase a design consisting of my own line-drawings and full-colour images of insects and butterflies. The vase is photographed in a background that may suggest voodoo rituals.
